NTPC Farakka celebrated the 48th Raising Day of NTPC Ltd. with lot of enthusiasm and fervor. Chief Guest of the Programme, Sh. Sanjiv Kumar, CGM (Farakka) unfurled the NTPC Flag at Administrative Building premises in presence of Sh. Bijay Manjul GM (O&M), Smt. Maya Singh President (Udita Ladies Club), Sh. Vivek Jha GM (EMD/C&I), Sh. PV Kameswara Rao GM (Maint.), Sh. PK Jena GM (ADM), Sh. Ziaur Rahman AGM (HR), HODs, Representatives from Unions & Association and Committee Members of Udita Ladies Club. The same was followed by NTPC Geet and release of balloons to mark the ceremonial occasion.

In his address, CGM (Farakka) highlighted the station achievements and congratulated all the employees for their immense contribution, which has led this Maharatna Company reach newer heights. In addition, he emphasized on the need to be more conscious and vigilant towards safety aspects and also stated the importance of being responsible towards environment. The address was followed by cake cutting ceremony.

On this auspicious occasion of 48th Raising Day, NTPC Farakka also organized the distribution of Utkarsh Merit Scholarship 2021, under its CSR initiative. 140 students across 23 schools from economically weaker sections who passed class X and class XII examination in 2021 were selected for the scholarship. Today 53 students across 9 schools were handed over the certificates by Sh. Sanjiv Kumar, CGM (Farakka) and other dignitaries present on this occasion. CGM (Farakka) congratulated all the students and motivated them to work harder to fulfill their dreams and to excel in their career.
